Professor Luis Silva Morais, Chairman of CIRSF, has been designated to the Appeal Panel of the European Banking Single Resolution Board (SRB), the new EU Agency entrusted with the task of establishing a recovery and resolution regime for banks in the Eurozone, helping to avoid future bailouts minimizing costs to taxpayers and the economy (and established under Regulation (EU) nº 806/2014 of 15 July 2014, setting uniform rules and a uniform procedure for the resolution of credit institutions and certain investment firms in the framework of a Single Resolution Mechanism and a Single Resolution Fund and amending Regulation (EU) No 1093/2010).
